Benevolence

From its earliest days almost 20 centuries ago, the church has always helped those in need.  Anchorage City Church understands we have that same responsibility.  With God's help we want to come alongside to make each person whole - financially, spiritually and physically.

We want to be faithful in this ministry and wisely administer the resources the Lord has provided us so that we can help those most in need.

If you have come to a place in your life where you have a short term need, we will be pleased to help if we are able.

Here are some things to think about before asking for help:

  1. If you have a church home, please ask there first.  Your brothers and sisters in that congregation feel the same responsibility to care for church family as we do.  We will work with your pastor.
  2. We have some paperwork for you to fill out.  It will help speed up the information gathering process if you print out, fill out and bring with you our benevolence request form.
  3. We want to meet with you face to face to work out an appropriate way to assist you. The most expedient way for this to happen is to come to the church offices on a Tuesday morning at 10 am for an orientation meeting.  Please call the church office ahead of time to confirm your attendance. (344-2141)
  4. After these steps we will make a decision about whether and how much we will be able to assist.

Forms

We ask people requesting help to fill our our benevolence request form.  This helps us understand you and your need.  It helps us do the best job of helping you and faithfully administering the resources we have for this purpose.

It is not required that you fill out this form before you visit our office, but if you are able to do so, it will save you time when you arrive.
