Connecting at City Church: there is a place for you here!

Getting connected at Anchorage City Church means establishing relationships. We believe that…

  • Members are committed and supportive of the vision and purpose of ACC.
  • Members are committed to the leaders and other people who comprise the church.
  • Members get to know people in the church and become known by them.

We encourage people to make an effort to connect relationally and involve themselves with other members of the congregation. We have no formal means of membership, but we want people to establish relationships with each other, as they pursue a closer relationship with God.

Some Ideas for
Getting Connected at ACC

  • Join a small group
  • Newcomer's class
  • Join the men for breakfast
  • Join a Bible study class
  • Invite someone to lunch or dessert
  • Join the youth group Torched or the young adults group Blaze

There are many ways to get connected at ACC. Some common ways are joining a small group, a men’s or women’s group, or prayer group; or taking Training, Newcomer’s, or Bible class. There are plenty of less formal ways as well; invite someone to lunch, or over to your house for dinner or dessert. Ask someone to pray for you. Or be creative; play cards, go on a hike, or just hang around people. Often the best ways to establish these relationships are the most informal.

There are also plenty of opportunities to get even more involved. Talk with the leaders of ministries you might wish to serve in. It might be good to take a ministry profile test to help you discover how God has made you. These can help you identify where you would be most comfortable and productive. These tests are available through some Life groups and by contacting the church office.

A few more items for you to consider are…

  • Members actively participate in ministry and service to God and others.
  • Members pursue spiritual growth; starting with a personal commitment to Christ.
  • Members yield to the Holy Spirit’s purpose and his gifts for their life.
  • Members of ACC are part of a family of believers, and every family member has an important role to fulfill. This involves their time, talent, and treasure.

Remember, our membership is informal, and is based on relationships. It is our sincere hope that you would desire to be a part of the City Church family. Come and connect with some of God’s treasured people.
